majorca for everyone! this island is big enough to suit everyone - from those looking for the hottest nightspots and the liveliest beaches, to families with young children or teenagers in tow, there is a spot to suit everyone. even those of us who prefer our r'n'r a little less frenetic and whose idea of heaven is peacefully watching the sun go down over a sparkling, warm sea, with a glass of wine in hand. magaluf "it's no wonder that this is such a popular holiday resort. teenagers and young adults looking for plenty of night life amongst like-minded visitors will absolutely love it here..." cala millor "you can easily eat or drink at a different place every night of the week for a month here - and still not have sampled everything the resort has to offer!..." santa ponsa "we saw 'real irish pubs' everywhere! the beach is large and sandy, but was quite crowded when we were there in peak season..." cala d'or "cala d'or itself is right on your doorstep with a huge range of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and night life easily within walking distance..." we have now visited the island many times to produce this virtual tour. we have stayed in the busy resort of cala d'or in the south west, the quieter pollensa town in the north west and more recently port soller on the north coast. we think we have seen every beach and resort (and many of the inland places of interest too), so you don't have to! alcudia bay , puerto pollensa , peguera large family resort, authentically majorcan... we felt these pretty resorts (although still having every amenity a family could desire) had not lost sight of their own character and majorcan identity. port soller , cala santanyi , porto cristo small but perfectly formed... these places couldn't really be called "resorts" as they have not sold their soul to tourism. expect less in the way of "just-like-home-but-better-weather" and more of real majorcan life, with a healthy respect for the holiday-maker!
